• Fans of Stone Barrington will continue to enjoy another installment in the series. The Barrington books can be read as stand alone's, but are in essence installments in one continuous narrative. Stuart Woods has said in interviews that he writes a chapter a day, taking about an hour to an hour and a half per chapter. That's probably true, but he could benefit from an editor and at least a little rewrite. Some obvious mistakes and continuity errors have started to creep into his books as he has gotten older and this latest installment is filled with more than usual. If his publishers are going to continue to ask for a premium fare for his content, they should make an effort to clean up the most glaring mistakes.
• Wild Card by Stuart Wood was enjoyable, but the plot was just a little complicated and the characters did not seem as real as they usually do. Certainly not one of Wood's best efforts, and I have read and reread the whole Barrington series.
• There is no one home to hand it too, My cameras clearly show that
• Another good, fast pace, Stone Barrington story. Just next in the line of Barrington adventures. He was lucky to survive this well financed threat. Really surprising ending. Fun read.
• This one has all the characters we expect from a Stone Barrington novel with a collection of villains carried over from the last book. The story was ok, but not my favorite.
• The book was just ok. I have all of his books. I like the characters and enjoy reading about them. If you are a stone Barrington fan all we can hope to do is occasionally get a gem in what is being written now. The Teddy Fay books have been much better. Keep trying, I will hang with you a while longer.
• If they ever learn how to write and ending to a book, other than hit the breaks just before the last chapter and put and ending that could fit "ANY" book, they would have outstanding books not just money makers!
